Motorcycling Cordura Suits

Motorcycle protection apparel is always a must. This also includes motorcycle suits as well. Reason being suits offer protection in case of a fall; because they are substantially have armor protection to offer for knees, back, elbows, shins, shoulders, hips so, you can also put on your work clothes, put a riding suit over your work clothes in about 30 seconds, drive to work in pretty much any temperature whether rain or shine, and get there in decent shape. It would take about maximum 30 seconds to remove the riding suit.

Industry of motorcycle clothing has really gone advanced during the past few years with advances in manufacturing techniques, materials and product development and there are almost no more bikers being conventional buyers. Leather used to be the only material for motorcycling clothing in past but now a choice of materials including Cordura is very popular and high in demand. This material is lighter than leather making racing suits more comfortable whilst riding and are also far better for protection against the harsh cold or scorching hot weather conditions. D600 Cordura material has fantastic anti abrasion and wear and tear properties.

Cordura racing suits are a good choice. As a matter of fact Cordura possess the high wear and tear resistance and is good to keep rider safe from harsh weather conditions. Also these textile garments dry out much faster than leathers so when touring, clothing made from these materials are a good idea.

Cordura riding suits are made of 1.0 mm thick perforated cowhide leather and D600 poly Cordura. This combination reduces the overall weight by half for this suit. Pre-curved sleeves with stretchable Kevlar for proper riding position are also an important feature of these suits. Dual stitched seams with nylon stitching add durability. These Cordura suits are perforated in sleeves as leather is notoriously hot in summers. Stretchable Kevlar at crotch, inner arms, behind knees and lower half of legs for perfect fit and ease of movement. Strong YKK zippers all over the suit are used..

Cordura material keeps rider warm when needed but also allow vents in the design of the garment to let in air when it is scorching hot outside. Also these textile garments dry out much faster than leathers so when touring, clothing made from these materials are a good idea

Fitting issue must not be ignored at all. Racing suit must be bit tight however; a racing Cordura suit that is too tight may cut off circulation. Just make sure the required measurements taken for buying a suit should be taken and noted accurately. Varied options may also include pockets, how perforated, and will it easily accept extra armor?.

Protection offered by a Cordura riding suit is not a deniable fact. Cordura suits have fully removable Injection Molded Armor at knees, shoulders, and elbows. This armor is far superior compared to what other retailers’ offer. These suits also have removable dual density spine protector and fixed double density hip armor. Cordura stretch panels at lower back and above the knees Fixed Mesh lining Velcro's for attaching knee pucks are sewn on. Knee sliders are attached to the Cordura racing suits and come with the suit for free.

All features of the motorcycle Cordura suits are tested from the seams to the zippers to ensure high resistance for tearing, cuts, impact abrasion, and burst resistance. Armor for extra protection is inserted into the shoulder area, back, hips, knees and elbows. Leather is the most traditional form of motorbike clothing but even that has advanced in recent years.

Whatever riding suit you buy, it's important it be comfortable or you won't want to wear it. Riding suits are a must as all motorcyclists are aware of this fact. Whether buy one piece racing suit or a two piece motorcycle riding suit that is on the discretion of the biker.

What is Cordura?

CORDURA was the registered name of a certified (nylon) fabric from DuPont. Today, it is the registered name of a high-performance Nylon-6,6 product. It is used in a wide range of products from luggage and backpacks to boots, military apparel (such as tactical blade sheaths, ammunition pouches, etc.), and performance apparel.

It is designed to be long-lasting and resistant to abrasions, tears and scuffs.

As a brand name, CORDURA reaches back to 1929 as a development of Rayon. The product was further developed during World War II and used by the military in tires. From 1966 when new formulations of nylon proved superior, the CORDURA brand was transferred to the nylon product instead.

CORDURA has continued to be developed as a brand with new products applied to an increasing range of items such as:

  • luggage
  • motorcycle clothing
  • anywhere that abrasion resistance is important
  • sporting and recreational equipment

Cordura is a dense 1000/280 denier weave, but lightweight (about 11 oz. per yard) and breathable. It has excellent resistance to scuffing and pilling under demanding conditions. Its new super-softness makes it comfortable as well as stylish and functional. CORDURA fabric is what the most respected brands, retailers and militaries around the world use when they need to make a product that’s durable, versatile and reliable. Constructed using high tenacity fiber technologies, ounce for ounce, CORDURA fabrics are more durable than comparable unbranded fabrics. Fact is, no matter the application, our fabrics are “best-in-class.” But more importantly, they have to pass our own stringent test criteria before they can earn the CORDURA brand name. They’re available in a wide range of weights – from ultra lightweight to heavy weight. And CORDURA fabrics come in many different constructions and textures. All in all, they’re the fabrics that make strong, long-lasting products even tougher in several categories - from outdoor gear and work wear to luggage and upholstery

In the CORDURA brand world, durable fabrics are everything. Funny thing is, they play a significant role in your world, too. You just might not realize it yet. Explore each category in our Durable Products section and see for yourself how CORDURA fabrics strengthen hundreds upon hundreds of products. The general rule of thumb being, if it’s built to take some serious punishment and last a long time, it’s more than likely made with CORDURA. Cordura has properties like water repellant, tear resistance and durability. Along this, we find a huge color selection and prints in Cordura that are impossible to be found in leather.

For more than 30 years, the CORDURA brand has been recognized worldwide as the fabric of choice when it comes to durability. We’re quite proud of that fact. We’re also proud of the many terrific business relationships we’ve formed over the years and look forward to continuing them and forging new relationships as we lead the way in durable fabric innovations For more information please visit http:/www.faport.com.

Leather Chaps

This is the world of fashion: the beautiful models, the runways, the photographers, and the clothes. Fashion is not only what we wear, it is also how we describe ourselves to the world. When you’re deciding which fashion is for you, take the time to consider your figure and style and also how you want to be perceived. Style.....! What comes in style? Different patterns of dresses, new fashionable clothing’s and accessories. If you’re wearing leather apparel, you will be the one who has a 'great new look'. Leather fashion encompass a great collection of Quality Leather Apparel - leather jacket, biker, fur coat, vest, skirt, pants, halter, shorts and accessories with an outstanding service . The hottest trend in the fashion industry is "LEATHER". The industry has emerged with trendy leather apparels and accessories for dashing men and women. Leather chaps are an essential part of anyone's wardrobe if they ride on a motorcycle. Many assume that this is simply an accessory, and while they do look good, it is important to note that they can also protect your legs if you have to lay your bike down when you are on the road. This attractive piece of clothing is also very functional, and most would consider it necessary.

Chaps are sturdy coverings for the legs consisting of leggings and a belt. They are buckled on over trousers with the chaps' integrated belt, but unlike trousers they have no seat and are not joined at the crotch. They are designed to provide protection for the legs and are usually made of leather or a leather-like material. They are most commonly associated with the cowboy culture of the American west as a protective garment to be used when riding a horse through brushy terrain. In the modern world, they are worn for both practical work purposes and for exhibition or show use.

Full length leather chaps are attached at the waist with the seat missing to allow contact with the saddle and the rider’s legs are fully covered with the seam on the outside of the leg for comfort. These are not commonly worn in English riding although they can provide a great source of warmth and comfort. Half chaps, as the name suggests, are worn on the lower legs. They too can be made from a variety of materials, and are worn for additional comfort when riding. Usually chaps are fitted with a zip or Velcro down the outside of the leg with a strap under the foot to fasten them into place. When worn with Jodhpur boots they help to limit chafing between the saddle and the lower leg and prevent Jodhpur boots from rising up

Leather chaps are usually worn over denim jeans or other trousers of heavy material. They have their own belt, and usually are fitted around the hips, resting below the belt loops of the trousers. Except for chinks and armitas, which are designed to fit above the boot, most chaps are long, fitting over the boot and draping slightly over the vamp of the boot (see shoe). Some designs are cut to hang long at the heel and nearly cover the entire boot except for the toe. Batwings, chinks, and shotgun chaps fit firmly but comfortably around the thigh, with shotguns continuing to fit closely all the way down the calf, though not so snug as to limit free knee movement. The shotgun design is a bit flared at the ankle to allow for the rider's boot. Batwings and chinks are not attached around the leg below the knee.

In general when you look at these different leather chaps you will see they are suitable for both men and women. The way that these chaps are designed is that the entire leg area is covered by the chaps. The chaps are secured around the waist in the front. You will however find that the seat of these leather chaps is not to be found.

To make wearing these leather chaps easier you will find that the sides of the chaps have zippers placed on them. This will make it easier for you to put your legs into the chaps. In general while you will find that biker gangs are known to wear these leather chaps there are others who will like to see how these leather chaps will look on them and also how they feel.

The most important item that you need to look at when you are shopping for leather chaps is the price. while there are different stores where you can buy these chaps they are for the most part expensive. The price of these products will go down as time passes and new stock is bought into the stores.
